Say Hello to Tyler...
Tyler was born in 1989 as a standard mini city in white. By the time I bought her in May 1999 she'd had a few modifications. She still had her original 998cc engine but it had a Minisport stage 1 kit fitted.

This is a picture taken from a friends car while we were on the Riviera Run.
It's a pity that you can't see them but there is a long line of minis behind me!
She has done a lot of milage and it's starting to show...
Two days after I bought her the exhaust fell off. Because it is not a standard manifold I had to fit another large bore one. The inlet manifold has minisport writen on it so I went to them. It cost me nearly £100 for an exhaust that has never fitted properly from the day it was fitted. It either fouls the bodywork or the handbrake. It has also fallen off another 8 times despite replacing the mountings four times.Needless to say I was not too impressed by minisport.

Other things that I've changed since I got her.
She has had a new wing and a-panel but because I was skint I had to spray them myself and didn't do too well. Having said that, I did it in a damp garage in half light and the paint is actually okay - the laquer has discoloured and it looks bad but I've sanded a bit of it back and underneath it's right.

A lot of my friends give me grief...
but the way I see it - she may look like a shed but she never lets me down and she's done a lot of mileage. Most of my friends don't even manage to get to the shops and back without incident.

Here is Tyler's engine bay
As you can see, I have added a few shiney bits over the years, just to let Tyler know that I still care.
Not sure she believes me....
